Carlos

Carlos is from Ecuador. He came to Denmark 5 years ago to study his master’s degree in mechanical engineering. He fell in love with the Danish work-life balance and decided to stay. Now he works at Topsoe on mechanical design, but it sometimes feels like he works in a travel agency as he travels a lot for work, which, in his opinion, is great. He loves music and playing the guitar: he owns 3 electric guitars, each one different and with a special story behind it. He even built a small music studio in his apartment to practice and record. His favorite genres are rock and heavy metal, but his Latin heart can also groove to salsa and merengue. Another reason he enjoys living in Denmark is the opportunity to volunteer at festivals such as Copenhell as a stagehand. It can be hard work, but through it, he had the chance to meet big rock stars. Copenhagen's social life is tricky, and living in Kaktus Towers helps a lot. There's no single day that he can call normal. There's always something to do, talk about, or someone willing to help him have fun.
